SENDING STRATEGY
"As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you."
Before returning to the Father, Jesus commissioned His church to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20). At Heartland Church, we believe every follower of Jesus is sent—whether across the street or across the world. As a sending church, we are committed to praying, giving, going, and raising up disciples who will take the gospel to the ends of the earth, until the Great Commission is fulfilled.
One way we respond to this calling is by cultivating intentional and strategic mission partnerships around the world. These partnerships are marked by three commitments:
Prayer
A central expression of our commitment to these partners is prayer, bringing their specific needs—and the needs of the people they serve—before the Lord, trusting that God works powerfully through the prayers of his people.
Provision
We joyfully steward what God has entrusted to us to strengthen the work of our partners. This includes financial support, sending short-term teams, as well as meeting practical needs so they are better equipped to fulfill their mission.
Participation
We actively labor alongside our partners as we send short-term mission trips, offer ongoing encouragement, and share in mutual ministry, strengthening one another as we work together to fulfill the Great Commission.

Rather than viewing missions as something that happens only overseas, we believe Jesus calls His church to faithfully bear witness to the gospel in our community (our Jerusalem), throughout our nation (our Judea and Samaria), and to the ends of the earth. This biblical framework shapes our sending strategy as we intentionally pray, give, go, and partner to make disciples wherever God has called us.
